After taking jobs that involved helping people solve problems, from technical support to sales, but not really finding the right niche, Matthew Robinson took the law school admissions test two weeks after his first child was born. Matthew brings a passion for problem solving to his interactions with small business owners and individuals needing help with litigation, personal injury, real estate transactions, collections, bankruptcy and debt workouts.
We’ve heard all the stories about lawyers not returning phone calls, not knowing your name, not caring about your case, overcharging — these are things that have no place in this profession. Matthew prides himself on being available for his clients and for being able to turn around tasks quickly. One of the Law Office of Matthew Robinson’s founding principles is don’t make a promise you aren’t going to keep.
Matthew has extensive experience in litigation, having started out at a plaintiff’s medical negligence firm and then spending seven years at a prominent general practice firm in Geneva. He has successfully tried cases before judges and juries in state court and bankruptcy court, handled business disputes in and out of court, successfully closed sales of businesses and real estate, and watched businesses grow from their initial filing to multi-million dollar companies.
Matthew enjoys baseball, movies, and especially enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, never more than when rooting on his beloved Northwestern Wildcats on to victory. Go Cats!
